Josh started volunteering with PrideAlive in 2009. His interest in the program led him to two internships in 2010 and a full-time position in 2012. Though Minnesota born, he moved around a bit before settling in St. Paul, Minnesota to attend Macalester College. At Macalester, Josh majored in Sociology with a concentration in Legal Studies. While at Macalester, he participated in the Chuck Green Fellowship, which allowed him to partner with PrideAlive in creating AskMe, an online HIV prevention program. Josh hopes to combine his passions for social scientific research and queer health to better serve the MSM community in the Twin Cities.

Rob has been involved with PrideAlive since May 2010. He has worked at the Urban League as the program coordinator for the Community PROMISE program, a CDC funded project to reach African-American men who have sex with men to increase condom use. Using role model stories created by program peers, Rob coordinated recruitment of new volunteer peers, training in HIV/STD risk and transmission, connection to health care, development of new role model stories, and outreach with volunteers to distribute the stories with safer sex kits in venues frequented by African-American MSM. Rob brought stability and organization to the program as well as skill in organizing the Urban League’s World AIDS Day events and volunteer appreciation events.

Bobbi started getting involved with PrideAlive at Tuesday Nighters in 2009, and was hired on as staff at the start of 2011. A native to the Pacific Northwest, he moved to the Twin Cities to attend Macalester College, and graduated in 2010 with a B.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. At Macalester he was actively involved in the Queer Union and was instrumental in organizing Sex+Positive Week and the All-Gender Housing option for students. While not organizing around queer communities, Bobbi played water polo and swam competitively. He hopes to combine his passions for queer performance, sexual health and new social technologies to better meet the needs of the Cities’ young MSM population. He currently resides in South Minneapolis.
